Each year, VIBF hires a number of highly skilled contractors to work in key positions and help bring the magic of the festival to life!
Marketing Coordinator: Apply by November 29th, 2021
Length of Term: 6 months
Reports To: President
The Vancouver International Burlesque Festival is one of the largest and longest running burlesque festivals in North America. As the Marketing Coordinator, your role will be to develop a comprehensive marketing plan through traditional and digital marketing channels, and maintain the integrity of our brand through all VIBFA social media channels including Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
Create a comprehensive marketing calendar and budget
Purchase advertising and arrange publicity on behalf of VIBF
Familiarize yourself with the past years’ social media content and marketing strategies and identify opportunities to improve on
Familiarize yourself with VIBFA photo and video library
Check on social media account direct message folders and forward any queries to your supervisor
Provide live social media coverage during events (stories, etc)
Attend meetings with the board when required
Help source and liaise headliners, features, legend, board members, VIBFA Members, and volunteers for engaging content
Strictly adhere to code of conduct, conflict of interest policies, and confidentiality policies
Time Demands (approximate):
This role is part-time, approximately 2-4 hours p/week prorated, as the months leading up to the festival will naturally be the busiest. The role offers an honorarium of $1500.

We are seeking a marketing coordinator with experience working independently, managing budgets, marketing calendars, and with exceptional communication skills. Two to three years professional experience is preferred.
